As you can see, he's totally unconcerned, I did it again off video and he began backing into it. Apparently, it's a good itch scratcher. You can see Merlin had been standing outside watching, seeing Pippin come thru unscathed didn't mean he'd lower himself to such barbaric levels LOL. Merlins scratch post of choice is backing into a stick of a tree out in the pasture! M

Cracking me up...
Setting up this video, I'd dumped the muck bucket & needed to go back in the stall. Pippin had come in from a nap & began munching away at his haynet. My hands were full so, I bumped him with the muck rake a few times getting no response. So me being me, I just had to see how far I could go...

Beware. I started stroking my horses with the manure fork and now they all crowd me to be the first to get scratched. It makes it hard to get any manure cleaned up.

DeletePippen is loving it! I bet Melin would too if he just gave it a chance. :-) Maybe start him with a small garden rake (the small hand held ones).
ReplyDeletemerlin is fine with things most desensitize to, novel things not so much. Pippin is the opposite, novel stuff is fun, the norm throws him!
