Sweet Vet Tech...

Camryn here:
Mom had called Promise Eye Dr. to refill her prescription.  One of the Vet Techs loves Corgis in general and Promise in particular.  So when Mom went in to pick up the medicine this is what she got:

The Vet Tech had carefully taped a Corgi pups picture on the prescription bag, along with Promise name written all cute like.  Wrong kind of Corgi since the pup is a Pembroke & Promise is a Cardigan.  It's one of those things where it's the thought that counts. Mom thought this thought counted so much that it rates a blog topic.  I think she's right. I kinda like that the Corgi pup is the same color as me!!!
Should mention that Promise dry eye is doing good, though she'll most likely need the ointment the rest of her life.  She's a good girl about Mom cleaning her eye and treating it three times a day though.  Promise is a good girl for just about anything though.

More scary wind stuff...

Camryn here:
You wanna know how windy it is today at my house?
This was a tree!!!  A big willow tree came crashing down just outside the back pasture fence.  Luckily it fell alongside the fence and didn't do any damage, it's about 20 feet from the paddock area.  Mom thinks it must of happened just before she got home from work cause I was in quite a tizzy.  I bet a Saber Tooth was climbing it and hoping to pounce down on my back.  But, it's weight caused the tree to crash down so it couldn't get me.  Mom said her checked to make sure the Saber Tooth was gone so I could eat lunch safely...

"Mo-om hurry pa-leese hurry"
I was hollering to Mom to be careful coming down to the barn.  I threw in a buck but, her missed that...
Mom's in the barn telling me it's safe to come in to eat.  She explained that a picnic the wind would blow lunch to the neighbors.  I'm not to fond of eating inside when the Saber Tooths could be anywhere...
"Mo-om, I can smell those Saber Tooths"
Ok, so I comprimise and come in to eat lunch.  Still I gotta keep watch out the door in between bites.  A girls gotta keep her figure you know.

Prayers worked...

Camryn here:
It worked, it worked, just like I knew it would.  Johnny passed the obstruction and has been pooping normal.  He should be allowed to go home from the Horsepital tomorrow even.
Thank you all so much for praying for my friend and keeping him in your thoughts.  We're so happy and thankful.

Friend in need...

Camryn here:
A friend of mine needs prayers.  Johnny is a very nice Quarter Horse boy, & he is very sick.  He coliced like 5 days ago, despite everything his person & his Vet have done he's not been getting any better.  So today he went to the Horsepital, they did ultrasound that showed Johnny has an obstruction.  Good news be that the Horsepital thinks they can get him better & without surgery. He's already had 12 liters of IV fluid but, they'll be giving him lots more continuously.  Johnny will be staying with them for 2-3 days at least.  I'm hoping with all  our prayers he'll be all better real soon so I can ride out with him again.
Thank You Everyone,

Little to the left paleese...

Camryn here:
I've been shedding a while now, just started really dropping coat lots though.  Mom's been currying but, today her broke out a curry with long rubber fingers!  I wasn't sure bout it at first cuz it felt so differant from the little rubber finger one.  After a few strokes I was In Heaven, I was making sure Mom got all the good itchy spots.  A little to the left here paleese, Ahhhhhh, yeah that's it.  Now lower & to the right a tad, Y-eah you got it.  Just above the tail now, if I was a dog I'd have been thumping my foot on that one for sure.  Had my mouth full most of the time as I was eating lunch.  Once Mom hit my shoulders I couldn't help but to do some mutual grooming even with a mouthful of hay.  Mom didn't mind at all!!!  Once she was finished I was like "hey, where you going"?   I left my lunch to follow in the barn, Mom loved that so I got some good rubbing behind both ears <SIGH>
Bummer it's gonna rain the rest of the week, Mom says if I stay dry (like that's gonna happen) she'll be sure to give me lots more long finger curry massaging.
Oh, Mom says to tell ya that the orchids are blooming at work and their beautiful.  Almost as beautiful as me!

Brrrrrr, but I don't care...

Camryn here:
We had snow squalls all day on Saturday.  I don't mind the cold, let the snow fall, but the wind "Oooooh, Saber Tooths abounded everywhere.  One looked remarkably like a Golden Retriever though!!!  The neighbors invisible fence goes out from time to time.  Winston was running my fence with Onyx telling him to go away.  Mom saw and called his peoples to let them know where he was.
So, anyway due to the Saber Tooths I don't like being in the barn & just go in to munch then head right back out.  We only got about 3 inches on the ground, about an inch on me :)  Got more today though Mom didn't bring the camera down...
I'd shaken much of my snow off when I saw Mom coming all bundled up from the house.  Lucky for me, my winter woolies do their job real good.  "Seriously Mom, picture of my butt all up close and personal"...
Uh Oh, I think I heard a Saber Tooth, gotta go out n check...

Mom couldn't get all my whiskers cause I kept coming in to close and steaming up the lens.  Check out all the ice boogers!!!...

All the wind makes for a really bad hair day for sure, time to head back in for a bite now that I know the Saber Tooths aren't nearby "for now".

I'm insperational...

Camryn here:
Well, Mom's been busy & blames it all on me!!!  I guess she means that as a compliment as she calls me her insperation & motivator.
Here's what she's been busy on...
It's not me really though.  But, it's just like me in that I'd find that last bite of grass in the snow too!!!
Her's got another one in the works, Mom says she's on a roll & since her'll be busy playin with me come warmer weather she'd best take advantage of her creative juices.  Dad don't mind cause so long as Mom is painting her don't even realize football is on.  Bad part though is when she's into something, cooking/eating is last thing on her mind!  Not to worry, Dad knows how to cook and makes sure Mom has something to eat.

ReDQulous...

Camryn here:
This mud is getting totally outa control.  I seriously mean it, it's completely redqulous. Mom's tall muck boots have nearly been sucked off a few times even.  Had my pedicure on Monday, trimmer says my feet look awesome despite the mud.  Mom says she's grateful for that and the fact that I'm not a mud roller.  I prefer my clean bedroom shavings to take my rolls in.
Camryn: "Good thing it's dry in here ain't it buddy?"

Onyx: "Yeah, no kidding Cam, short legs vs mud!  Mud wins for sure!"

This is the view from the barn.  Lovely Ohio vacation spot?  NOT!
