The boarding barn was trying to bring their lesson horses in. They (the boarders) hadn't been out in a week. I'm guessing coming back in after finally getting turn out was of no interest to them. The humans were shaking feed pans, calling, banging gates, the horses were charging about having a good ol time. My boyz joined in, one day I'll clear space on my phone to record all their antics. Such a hoot
to watch them have a good time.
Arguing again, Pippin wouldn't allow Merlin into the paddock as I brought them in last night. Pippin would come in, then run back as Merlin was coming from the field, stopping him at the gate. I finally grabbed a flashlight and long whip, Merlin seemed relieved when he saw the whip. Pippin, not so much!
That's some heavy duty head shaking. Bombay throws his nose up in the air and to the side when he wants me or another horse to play with him. He loves it when I try to race him. I just have to stay out of kicking distance in case he gets too rambunctious. It is a riot to watch them play chase.
ReplyDeleteI've been having problems getting the horses in stalls during rain storms. Gabbrielle kicks the boys out of the barn, even though there is plenty of room for everyone. I worry that the boys will get sick being soaked to the bone, so I try to get everyone in their stalls, but cooperation goes out the window when it's thundering, and lightning is flashing all around us.
If I could put that head shake to music, I think it'd have to be "I'm sexy & I know it!" They've been coming in with no issues lately, guess they feel the need to keep me on my toes! Come summer, they'll most likely be out 24/7.
DeleteIt's a good thing that Pippin is so adorable.....
ReplyDeleteCan't disagree with that lol
DeleteI love seeing your little guys, and of course, you know that Pippin is my favorite!!
ReplyDeleteI should add.... there is something about the name Pippin and how it correlates to an equine that has some extra character. I speak from experience!!
ReplyDeleteOh that's right, one of your Hafys was a Pippin too. You're so right in your description. He's a character, lucky for him he's got a sweet side & knows when to show it.
